Failed former president accuses vastly superior successor of defending U.S. interests and security

You think the worst president of the 20th Century is only blathering on about racism these days? Read the Iranian press. They’ve got lots more from the Man from Plains.

On Sunday, Jimmeh told the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo that he believes the Bush Administration was likely behind a coup against Hugo Chavez in 2002 in Venezuela.

Horrible.

Horrible.

“I think there is no doubt that in 2002, the United States had at the very least full knowledge about the coup, and could even have been directly involved,” said the man whose favorite pastime these days is to huddle up with anti-American thugs.

About this: The Bush Administration of course denied involvement in any sort of coup, and no one will probably ever know if they were involved. But if they did try to overthrow Chavez, you have to give them an A for effort, especially considering the recent news that Chavez wants to host a “nuclear village” with Iran right on Venezuelan soil. I understand that it was not Carter Administration policy to actually do anything in defense of the interests of the United States, nor to defend U.S. security, so maybe that’s why he considers it such a scandal that one of his successors actually dared to do so.

As for his decision to make accusations against one of his successors in a foreign newspaper, I suppose we’ve long since ceased to be surprised by anything Jimmy Carter does.

What an absolutely horrible man.

Update: Ed Morrissey weighs in at Hot Air, and as one of the Hot Air commenters points out, Jimmeh couldn’t be right about this, because when George W. Bush wanted a dictator gone, dude was gone.

Jimmy Carter is the most bitter, disrespectual ex-president ever. This man was irrelevant as president and now even more so. He has no shame nor guilt. He truly is a moron, not just slow. He should just shut up and go away.

Jimmy is putting up a smokescreen to distract from how he bent over and dropped his pants for Chavez when he should have been standing up for free and fair elections, as as an election monitor in 2004.

From the Wall Street Journal, Sept. 9, 2004, http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110005586

“The new study was released this week by economists Ricardo Hausmann of Harvard and Roberto Rigobon of MIT. They zeroed in on a key problem with the August 18 vote audit that was run by the government’s electoral council (CNE): In choosing which polling stations would be audited, the CNE refused to use the random number generator recommended by the Carter Center. Instead, the CNE insisted on its own program, run on its own computer. Mr. Carter’s team acquiesced, and Messrs. Hausmann and Rigobon conclude that, in controlling this software, the government had the means to cheat.”

As an IT person, I can see no other reason to insist on using their random number generator, except to ensure that the numbers aren’t random. There are plenty of ways to quickly test any random number generator and confirm it’s randomness, and Chavez’s election officials could have done that to the one provided by Carter’s people. Carter let them get away with election fraud.

  • JAMES EARL ” JIMMUH ” CARTER JR . : as the Thirty – Ninth President , Mr . Carter used the pulpit at NOTRE DAME ‘ s commencement to scold Americans for their { quote } ” Inordinate Fear Of Communism ” , while mercenaries from CUBA did SOVIET bidding in Africa . Mister Carter professed to be astonished and outraged when the U . S . S . R . invaded AFGHANISTAN ; naivete like this is most unseemly for a man in his fifties . He toasted the SHAH OF IRAN for maintaining an { quote } ” OASIS OF STABILITY ” , as AYATOLLAH KHOMEINI prepared to end his Paris exile and the Shah , sensing the Carter Administration will leave him to languish in the face of a militant Islamic revolt , went into exile himself . We as a nation have been paying dearly for Mister Carter ‘ s blunders ever since , the enormity of which he compounds as a pitiful old cretin who lends his approval to American enemies in CUBA , SYRIA , VENEZUELA , GAZA { HAMAS } and LEBANON { HEZBOLLAH } . Former President Carter , one of just two Democratic Party Presidents to lose a re – election campaign to a Republican challenger { thank Christ ! } has been attempting to resurrect the deplorably foolish initiatives of his Administration ever since , and has a willing apprentice – - sad to say – - in the Forty – Fourth President .

It is a definitive statement , when the late EUGENE McCARTHY declines to vote for the President of his own party , and makes bold to say that Mister Carter simply does NOT deserve a second term owinng to his inability to defend American interests . Any former President who makes it a point to be meddlesome , to undermine the Foreign Policy of the incumbent President , deserves at the least to have his passport revoked .

As irrelevant as J.C. may appear to be, he is not harmless. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Foreign despots will pick up on his incessant babblings and use them to bolster their own anti-American rhetoric. Is there a way to get him to stop? I doubt it. How sad it is to have a brain-deficient former president traveling the globe spreading his nonsense. Clearly he hates the USA; yet, is he all that different from the radical left? Why are they so determined to destroy us?

  • Hi Abigail. So fare i can see, o has answered your question. I don’t see any sense.

  • Write more, thats all I’ve to say. Literally, it seems as although you relied on the video to make your point. You clearly know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog if you could be giving us some thing enlightening to read?
