If Rush Limbaugh is such a racist, CNN and MSNBC, why use made up quotes to prove it?

I guess it’s no wonder so many people are buying the insinuation that Rush Limbaugh is a racist – a notion that is fueling opposition to his quest to buy the St. Louis Rams.

If Limbaugh had really uttered the following quotes, it would be hard to deny that he is a racist:

Where theres smoke, theres . . . smoke.

Where there's smoke, there's . . . smoke.

  • “I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: Slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”
  • “You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray (the murderer of Martin Luther King Jr.). We miss you, James. Godspeed.”

It is unlikely one would have to convince Spanish King Juan Carlos that he is not as significant an international figure as any American president. Unlike MSNBC commentator Rachel Maddow, the Spanish King is surely fully aware of this reality. Most world leaders understand this implicitly with the possible exception of megalomaniac dictators and sometimes French presidents. But deep down, even these exceptions aren’t really exceptions.
